Partnering to Create Special Memories

We had a great opportunity to work with Hershey’s Chocolate World’s Guest Service Team and Manager, Roger Sansoni, to create a lasting memory for a special family.

“A guest, Dan Adamson, reached out to Hershey’s Chocolate World a few weeks ago wanting to “re-propose” to his wife of 12 years (Heather) on our Chocolate Making Tour Ride. As Dan explained to me, his family had suffered the loss of their home and all of their family’s belongings in a devastating house fire late last year and was looking to create some new memories here at Hershey’s Chocolate World - one of their family’s favorite destinations. Additionally, Dan was really hoping that we could somehow display a picture of him proposing to Heather on the digital photo wall inside of our Chocolate Making Tour Ride while he surprised her with a new engagement ring.” - Roger Sansoni, Mgr, Guest Experience

GTP’s, Justine McCarty and Felicia Metze gladly assisted with the plan to surprise Dan’s wife. Roger reached out to us to see if we could “Hershey-ize” the photos that Dan had given him, so they could be displayed on the tour ride. Our Sweet Personalization designs were the perfect fit for this challenge, so Felicia separated some of the photos Dan sent in and applied them to our designs. With help from Roger, they added messages on the wrappers for the final touch and they were good to go for the re-proposal.  Justine was able to capture the moment whenHeather realized what was going on by taking photos of their family when they passed by the display.

“It was great to work with Roger and Dan on this special project. As soon as I heard what happened to the family and that they chose Chocolate World to create new memories, I knew I wanted to help. With having experience in Photoshop it was super easy to separate the collage photo that Dan had provided and customize the photos with our Sweet Personalization products for display. I’m happy the end result turned out so sweet.” - Felicia Metze, Photo Area Manager
